Herndon, VA, July 26, 2006 - During a time of unrest in the country, Ghee and Masaaki are a pair of survivors from a slaughtered ninja clan; their hearts yearn for revenge. In the company of new allies, this skilled band of assorted backgrounds and ambitions, have set out to find a tyrannical emperor, a manipulating advisor, and love. In this world of technology verses magic, this special relationship is part of the journey rather than the defining target.

“Ghee, the book, does feature two characters from an alternative lifestyle. But that lifestyle is only one part of the characters,” says Robert V. Aldrich, acclaimed author of the Crossworld novel series, about his third publication. “Ghee and Masaaki are both gay, but they are so realistically, with their sexuality a part of them, not defining them.”

This open culture allows for a bold reality to take hold. These ninjas can concentrate on the real threat to the Nation of Accordia, and defending themselves against the opposing onslaught, while not having to contend with the social issues that might slow their vengeance down.
